“Disinformation” Is Whatever They Want It to Be
After reversing course on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal and the Wuhan lab-leak theory, the mainstream media has lost all credibility
In the lead up to the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post published a bombshell report, a cache of emails and documents supposedly gathered from a laptop that Hunter Biden, son of Joe Biden, left in a Delaware computer repair shop. Amongst the cache, there were emails which revealed the elder Biden’s participation and profit in an unspecified deal with a Chinese energy company, CEFC China. There were also emails and calendar notes which showed ulterior motives behind Biden’s 2016 decision to strong-arm Ukrainian officials into firing Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the natural gas company Burisma — Hunter Biden’s employer.
Despite the fact that the emails were never proven to be inauthentic, and despite the fact that numerous people on the other end of those communications publicly stated that the emails were genuine, the mainstream media of the United States came together with Big Tech and CIA alumni to dismiss the story as a “Russian hoax” and have it widely censored and suppressed across various social media platforms.
