What’s happening right now in Gaza is genocide.

And it’s exactly what Israel’s far-right government wanted.

A Gaza neighborhood reduced to rubble (ABC News)

As I write this, entire neighborhoods are being bombed into dust. Water food, electricity, and fuel has been cut off from entering Gaza for over 24 hours, affecting every single citizen, 50% of whom are children. Water is now running out. Medical supplies are running out. Electricity was already cut off, but now the fuel is running out, meaning even the hospitals treating the tens of thousands of wounded will no longer be able to power their generators and try to save lives. People are dying by the hundreds, soon they will be dying by the thousands, and the Western media is beating the drums of war, drowning out any calls for level-headedness or scrutiny. The justifiable rage at the Hamas attacks on Israeli civilians has led to an all-consuming bloodlust not seen since the aftermath of 9/11, and just like 9/11, it will provide the excuse for a response that makes the initial tragedy pale in comparison. Israel is executing their “final solution” for the Palestinian problem, and the world is saying “I Stand With Israel.”

I, like just about everyone else (except maybe Netanyahu, Israeli intelligence, or Raytheon executives), was shocked and alarmed when I saw the news that Hamas militants had crossed over into neighboring Israeli settlements…
